Tom White Linear Park

the trail is in good shape for riding

June, 2025 by mkpearson1

My wife and I rode the trail on 6-22-2025 with gravel bikes . Most of the trail is in very good shape. There are a couple of spots with sand over the trail but most is asphalt. Half of the trail is shaded so recommend morning or evening ride.

Not what I expected

Needed a paved trail for a run. Parked at Wesley Ball Park and ran 1.5mi then turned around. Not what I expected based on reviews. The trail itself was good but lots of trash surrounding it and stray dogs on this section.

Yoholo Micco, The Creek Indian Trail

This is actually only about 4 miles round trip. Very pretty and a nice leg stretcher.

Parked downtown at Wesley Ball Park and rode the trail. Some shade and some sun along the trail. This is trail is getting attention. There are trail improvements at the airport end and looks like someone has marked road hazards /warning. Thanks!

Riverfront Greenway Trail

Decent Trail

August, 2022 by wmherman

I ride this trail regularly since it's near my home. It's especially nice that it links to the very nice bike path that runs through Albany, GA and connects to the rails-to-trails project that will eventually go from Albany to Sasser. The rails-to-trails portion isn't paved yet but you can still ride 10 plus miles on the dirt path, part of the way to Sasser. All-in-all I can start at Cox Landing, ride the paved trail to Turtle Park in Albany, then ride the city bike path to the rails-to-trails path, ride part of the rails-to-trails path, then return to my starting point while covering 20 plus miles total.

Good trail from downtown. A number of stops through town. Trail gets rough near the airport, southern end of trail - not good to go fast on road bikes; tree roots lifting the blacktop. Scenic, relaxing ride.

Nice trail for beginners.

The trail is great and mostly in good shape except for the short stretch by the airport, tree roots are pushing up the pavement. Lots of shade along the way, water fountain and benches. We had a great ride!

good exercise!

The hubby and I went here last Saturday and it was so much fun! We didn’t have time to walk the side trails but, we enjoyed it! I’m not in the best shape in the world but, I easily did this. Well, I say easily but, the last hill on the way up was a doozy.

Nice Ride

My husband and I really enjoyed this ride. We parked at the airport and rode by the golf course. It was relaxing and quite enjoyable. Just a few small crossroads. Very nice!

Holding up well

Biked the stretch from the library downtown out to the golf courses at Cherokee and back. Nice stretch with 2 shaded bench rest stops with water. A few road crossing with decent sight lines. Saw a dozen folks working out and 2 folks transporting themselves via bike to/from work. Nice to see it used, miles marked, and two trailheads.

Starts off great!

The trail is pretty good! The trail starts off great! After you cross the bridge the scenery goes away. It is a great exercise trail! Loved it until crossing bridge and then it turns into just a asphalt walkway in the middle of ??? and a campground at the very end. I will say the views of the lake, the bridge over the lake, the cool old architectural things, the bird scenery, the history and the waterfall make up for the last part of the trail! So yes I would go back!

loved this trail

My husband and I walked this trail in January 2017. It was well worth the walk in 30 degree weather. Look for the side trails marked by cute little signs. One took us to a waterfall. The other to a path that looked like it was straight from a fairytale. We will be coming back!
